Secure Vehicle & Remove Front Wheel
Loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels. Raise the vehicle using a jack and secure it safely on sturdy jack stands. Remove the wheel lug nuts and take the wheel off.
Remove Caliper Guide Pin Bolts
Locate the two 14mm caliper guide pin bolts on the back of the caliper housing. Loosen and extract both bolts. Carefully slide the caliper off the rotor and suspend it with a bungee cord (never let it hang by the rubber hose).
Install New Pads and Compress Piston
Remove the old worn pads. Apply a thin layer of brake grease to the backs of the new pads where they contact the caliper (avoid friction material). Compress the caliper piston, install new pads, and slip the caliper back on.
